It all started with a desire to have a cute, chubby Golden Shaded British Shorthair. I must have watched too many Golden kitty videos during the COVID period.
This color was so rare in Australia that I couldn't find my dreamed kitten. In 2020, I decided to start my own small cattery and import from overseas.
We believe Golden BSHs should have a big round face with mellow ears, big paws, strong legs, a sturdy tail, and attractive emerald green eyes. Interestingly, we found that a well-looked BSH should be 'neckless' — its neck hidden under its chubby face and trunk. The overall structure must be coordinated, strong, and heavy.
Breeding has been more challenging than I expected. I am still learning to become a good breeder.
